These are lovely, bright green cilantro leaves—not the tiny brownish bits you sometimes get stuck with from the store. They not only look appealing but are also fragrant and flavorful. Excellent for meals and a healthy touch to salads, beans, meats, or whatever you pair these with. Clean and nutritious.
After moving from California to Maryland in 2021, I struggled to find cilantro spice anywhere in the supermarkets—which was baffling! I was thrilled to find this—it’s HUGE! It should last a long time without needing to search stores anymore.
This product comes in a generously sized container and features a shaker lid. The dried cilantro is vibrant and emits a lovely aroma. While fresh is always the way to go, this is much more practical for regular use. The flavor is enjoyable, adding just the right touch to any dish you’re preparing.
This doesn’t seem to enhance flavor at all. There’s hardly a scent from it in the jar. In fact, what little aroma there is doesn’t come close to fresh cilantro’s. For salsa and similar dishes, fresh cilantro is the way to go. If you’re cooking with cilantro, I’d advise using fresh and chopping it with a sharp knife to prevent bruising and losing the flavor.
These flakes seem excessively dried. I sampled some straight from the jar and noticed zero cilantro flavor. It reminded me of that awkward time when a piece of tobacco got stuck on your tongue. I wouldn’t recommend these and ended up leaving them out of the dish I was preparing.

It never dawned on me to seek out dried cilantro—it’s puzzling why not. I’ve used this product in two meals, and it’s exceeded my expectations.
