This is a big jar of dried marjoram that will last quite a while, even with frequent use. Since it’s dried, its flavor can be richer than the fresh herb, so you don’t need as much. It can substitute oregano in a pinch but keep in mind there’s a slight flavor shift. For me, it has a more floral taste rather than the strong, intense kick of oregano. It adds its own distinctive flavor to dishes. If you’re not cautious and overuse it, your food could end up being less appetizing. A small amount goes a long way, like with any dried herb or spice. This large container is a great deal.
The small openings on the shaker lid are pretty much useless, as no leaves seem to fit through them. But I just open the larger side and that works fine; I’m not docking stars for the silly packaging since the product itself is just what I expected.
There’s a nice quantity of marjoram flakes in the container, but they tend to clump together fairly quickly, making it somewhat challenging to sprinkle through the lid. I use it as a garnish for finished dishes, and since it doesn’t have a very overpowering taste, it works well.
The price for this item is fantastic. I’m satisfied with my buy.
Marjoram might not be the best-known herb, but it’s pretty versatile and deserves a spot in everyone’s pantry. This jar is quite large and should last me a long while. It’s often used in Mediterranean dishes like pasta sauces. Being in the mint family, it closely resembles oregano, and the two can easily substitute for one another. Keep in mind, marjoram is milder and more delicate than oregano, so adjust your ratios accordingly. The product seems good quality, comes sealed for freshness, and is non-GMO, which I expect from any solid product.
This is a nice large bottle of marjoram! It should last a significant amount of time. It has a fresh smell and a delightful taste. I love to cook from home, and this spice is excellent to enhance recipes, especially Italian dishes. It’s also great in soups, stews, sauces, marinades, salad dressings, or sprinkled on grilled or roasted meats, as well as in homemade bread or pasta. I’m glad to have this on hand!
This is some very good, bulk-sized dried marjoram. While the flavor and scent aren’t as potent as the fresh herb, they’re still quite noticeable, and the aroma is deeper and fresher than most dried herbs found at the grocery store. The jar is filled to the brim and has a bit of dust from fine particles. This flavor works well in various European and American cooking styles. Recommended.
It’s a decent price, good quantity, fresh, and has a nice aroma. Not much more to add about a jar of marjoram that is exactly as it claims to be.
Fresh and had a really pleasant flavor. I would definitely recommend this item.
I use this spice in several different dishes. I was thrilled to see it available in a medium size. It’s fresh and adds a lot of flavor.
Good quality marjoram flakes. They carry a lovely aroma and taste fresh. I don’t use this herb often, but every so often encounter it in some recipes, so it’s handy to have available.
Marjoram is such a flavorful herb, and this brand captures its lovely essence well. It’s 100% marjoram leaves, finely chopped, and worked perfectly in my pasta and tomato dish tonight. This brand radiates quality, and I’m quite pleased with it.
I’ve never had marjoram leaves all on their own before as it’s always been mixed into Italian seasoning, so I can’t compare. It has a delicate scent and flavor. The container is well-sized. It’s a great addition to my pasta recipes.
I was surprised to find how large a jar 2 oz. of marjoram really is! This brand seems fresh and is quite economical compared to most other brands per weight. The expiration date is November 2025. Honestly, this is way more marjoram than I anticipated, so I’ll be sharing some with friends!
Marjoram Leaves/Flakes – 2 oz.: This Marjoram Leaves/Flakes – 2 oz. is really nice. The quality is high. It’s non-GMO, kosher, halal, and gluten-free, without any additives or preservatives. I used it in vegetable soup, chicken curry, salads, and even tea. It has a taste similar to oregano but is aromatic and sweeter. Plus, it has various health benefits for the digestive and nervous systems. It’s a great source of vitamin k, iron, manganese, calcium, vitamin a, and vitamin b6. The cost is quite fair, and I highly recommend it to anyone.
This herb is excellent. It has a bright scent and a subtle flavor. Overall, it’s a fantastic value for a flavorful dried herb.
Marjoram doesn’t get enough attention these days, particularly outside Mediterranean dishes. It’s related to oregano, sharing a similar flavor but is sweeter and lacks that immediate Italian food association linked with oregano. I love adding it to various vegetable and fish preparations. This marjoram has a fresh scent (considering it’s a dried herb), without any stale odor hinting it might have been sitting around too long. The price fits well, too.
The only ingredient here is marjoram. The cap features both a shaker option and one for measuring spoons. It’s a nice-sized bottle.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever tasted marjoram before grabbing this. I knew it existed but hadn’t personally utilized it in cooking. I ended up using it similarly to how I might use oregano in a few Italian recipes. It offers a pleasing scent and flavor. It’s hard to describe the flavor other than it being herbal, slightly citrusy, woodsy, and minty? It’s a bit sweeter than oregano, and I truly enjoy it.
